Confidence in Walking
I really like my trekking poles. I am 62 years old and have mild arthritis in both knees and feet. I had been walking daily with just a walking stick. But I was noticing that I was only getting an upper body workout on the side I had my stick. Well I decided to try the trekking poles. Now I get both arms working, but also because of my leg issues I now feel more secure having, say, “two extra legs”. I don’t worry about my balance either. I have been asked, by a couple of folks on the trail I walk, “do those things really help?”, to which I answer “yes”. Also I love the fact they fold up. I will be able to take on my travels. Thank you.

Design provides easy of setup, adjustment and strength.
Poles arrived same day ordered! These are for my wife’s 83 birthday this month. She twisted her ankle on our morning hike and needed the support poles give. She had a pair picked up at a garage sale but the locking, collapsing mechanism kept coming loose. I liked the design of your poles so ordered them. We are really impressed with their design. The way each section goes together makes it impossible for them to collapse and provides great strength. With only one adjustment to make for length these are the easiest poles to put together or take apart and adjust even out on a hike. Great product.

AWESOME PRODUCT!!!!
High Sierra, these trekking poles are AWESOME!!! I have been able to travel easily with these, as folding and unfolding is EASY! These poles fit nicely in my backpack, carry-on luggage or suitcase, don’t weigh much, and are super sturdy! I have spine, hip, and joint problems and I could not have enjoyed hiking the Sierras without these poles. Thank you so much for a FABULOUS product.

Great value
Very easy to extend and collapse, yet sturdy at the same time. I like to go for walks in the city, and stop to browse in a store when something piques my interest. I can now snap the poles down to something that can fit in my bag, and go into a store without carrying a five foot weapon around with me. The poles help with my balance. Love them.

I am very happy with these poles. I belong to a newly formed hiking group of ladies. The poles are not only fashionable but also very sturdy and comfortable. I am so pleased with the comfort of the cork handles. That was very important to me. The collapsibility is very simple and convenient. Just takes once to learn. Watch the video. I definitely recommend these poles and plan on using them for many joyful walks to come.

I haven’t used them except to try for height. They are very light and have a comfortable grip.
It took a bit to figure out how to put them together but not long and once you do it once its
not hard. I am 5′ 6″ and I bought the ones measuring 110 to 120 . I have adjusted them to the middle
115 and find it perfect for me. I have not given stars for sturdiness because I haven’t really used them
yet but I think they will be fine. I will let you know if any major problems. So far happy with my purchase
Thankyou
Lisa

Light, sturdy, Pack small. A winner!
I bought these for my g/f. They work well, light and sturdy. I prefer these to my telescopic poles which are heavier and tend to slip at the locking points. They also fold to a shorter overall length making them easier to pack. In all these are a winner. I will probably get pair for myself.
Note: ensure you push the snow baskets fully home. I didn’t, lost a basket. The customer service is extraordinarily attentive and replaced the basket immediately, FOC. Good stuff!

Great poles, great customer service
I only recently started using trekking poles and it’s made a huge difference in my hike. The first pair I got from Amazon were glymnis and the rubber grip started sliding the first time I used them. The cork grips on these are so much better! I love that they are foldable and best that they are purple! I had an issue with a couple of the terrain tips, contacted the company, and they are supposed to be sending me new ones, which is fabulous customer service! These are going with me on every hike from now on!

These walking sticks came in a timely fashion and were in good condition. They are easy to fold up, extend, and adjust. They seem sturdy tho we have only used them for short moderate walks. We plan to use them on the Camino de Santiago. My husband plans to order a pair as well. We are confident they will work well on our long walk. And, the colors, pink and the blue are really beautiful.

Great walking/hiking poles
I just returned from hiking at Zion National Park and I use the High Stream walking/hiking poles. I must say I was impressed with the quality and the fact they helped me navigate the trails with no problem. They are light weight and sturdy.

Ditched my other poles in Alaska that kept untwisting, unlocking & getting stuck in the soft ground. What a pain to keep stopping to re-twist & re-lock them back together. Researched for new poles when I got home to replace them and found these. Tried them out on 4 hikes up in Jedediah Smith State Park last week and they worked perfect. The locking pin is the key to keeping them together, simple & brilliant concept! Remember to connect the bottom 2 sections together first, then pull the 3rd section away from the 4th (top) section and the pin will appear, pop up and lock. Once you do this a few times it’s super easy. They also fold down really small & compact, maybe 14″ long, so traveling with them is not an issue. Seems to be well made, light weight & sturdy. I am a whopping 5′ tall and they fit me perfect without extending them out at all once they’re all connected. Anyone shorter than 5′ these may be too long. I highly recommend these hiking poles.

Light weight easy and easy to extend and lock
This is the 2nd set of this exact pair. I purchased my first set last year for a long multiday hike. I love using these poles as they are very light weight, expand and fold easily and quickly, lock in a way that I feel secure placing weight on them, and they keep my hands elevated so they do not swell when I hike. We recently moved and I could not locate my original set so I ordered a second pair as the comfort they provide was great enough that it was worth the cost to be sure I had these on my hikes this summer. I have never owned any hikimg poles before these and now I wish I would have purchased them years ago. I am mid 40s, adventurous and hike about 4-5 hikes a year averaging 15 miles each. I would say I am a leisurely hiker who likes to enjoy my time in the wilderness.

I got these for myself and my daughter (mine were longer as I’m 5’9″ and hers were the shorter ones as she’s 5’6″). We both loved them! We folded them and put them in the outside bungie cord space of our hydration packs when we weren’t using them. They are pretty small folded up and fit very very easily in luggage. They worked GREAT! There is no way I would’ve made it up and down Bear Peak (foothills outside Boulder) with that crazy pitch if I hadn’t had them. They were amazing for both up (saved my quads) and down (saved my knees and slipping) the trail! My daughter used hers mostly going downhill, but loved them as well. I also used them in a couple places in Yosemite. Again, great, lightweight, very sturdy poles!

Excellent design features make High Stream Gear poles portable, adjustable, and reliable
It’s hard to decide which feature I like most — the incredibly comfortable cork handles or the easily adjustable locking mechanism. This is my first pair of poles with cork handles; you won’t believe what a difference that makes. The handles are smooth, comfortable, cool, and non-slippery. In short, these cork handles are vastly superior to the plastic handles on my old poles. The poles are also easy to assembly (but do watch the helpful video tutorial; you have to pull harder and farther than you think to get the little silver button in position). I absolutely love the exterior locking mechanism to quickly and conveniently adjust pole length. My other poles have a twisting mechanism that is too hard to use, so I seldom adjust them. In contrast, I am able to quickly adjust these High Stream poles to be shorter when climbing or longer when doing downhill. It’s easy to get the optimal length for each situation. High Stream Gear also has excellent customer service and responds quickly and courteously to any communication. This is a superb product from an excellent company.

I recommend watching the High Stream Gear videos on their website for how to put the poles together.
I bought these walking sticks for occasional walks and hiking. They are lightweight and of good quality.

I’m in love! Would give 6 stars if I could.
I have purchased different foldup sticks for carry-on travel, in the past, but was annoyed at the rattle noise and the “cheap”ness. These new sticks are classy! Extremely well made. Great directions on the brochure, lightweight, and lock in place very well. They are also shorter, so I’m not worried about my carry-on fit. The handle also feels nice, as well as the strap.
I wasn’t sure about how well they lock in place until I read directions on how to pull until the lock button clicks. To release, press the lock button and separate the legs. A very strong cable inside gives me a feeling of thought put into endurance.

Very solid feeling, foldable, hiking sticks & instructions included!!
These were very solid compared to another brand I purchased. The other brand had more play in them when pushing the tip into the ground and moving the handle around. These hiking poles are made by a family owned business who included a letter with an email address to write them directly PLUS and instruction pamphlet explaining how to unfold and secure the poles. I used them on our 10 mile hike up Mount Yale and put serious weight on them coming through boulders and rocks. It saved my knees which didn’t hurt at all after our hike. And I like that I can fold them up and put them in my backpack on the way up less strenuous hills and just use them when needed on the way down.

CUSTOMER SERVICE HIGH FIVES & BEST HIKING POLES
Purchased these poles a week before heading to Maine for hiking in the National Park. I needed poles that would pack in a suitcase and fit in a backpack. These hiking poles worked fantastic during our trip to Acadia National Park. They packed easily in my suitcase and took up very little room, fit in my backpack, easy to assemble pack down on the fly when needed in areas hiking. I think the best parts of the purchase was the video that was on the Amazon product page, the explanation on which poles to purchase depending on your height, the video in an email from customer service on how to assemble and repack your poles and the excellent response time and help when reached out to the customer service department with questions. I know you’ll love these poles if your a hiker on paths or just out for a walk in your area.

I purchased these poles as I was planning a backpacking trip to the grand canyon a couple of months before the pandemic cancelled that plan. I used the poles a handful of times before they were put away for several months, they were super comfy and easy to operate. Last month I tried to use them and one of them would not lock in place as the locking button wouldn’t come out. I contacted High Stream Gear through their Facebook page and they were absolutely amazing. I sent them some pictures showing the malfunctioning pole and a couple of days later I received a replacement pole. Karl was super responsive, friendly and professional. I would purchase other items from this company in the future.

Best poles and company for service.
I absolutely love the High Stream Women’s foldable hiking sticks. Best poles I’ve ever owned and I have had several. They are the only ones that have been comfortable on my hands over extended trips. Grips are the best and convenience of foldability are great for travel and backpacking.
In addition to the quality of the poles the company is first class. After over a year one pole developed a slight problem and, after contacting the company, I had a response within 24 hours and received a replacement pole in 1 1/2 weeks. They even followed up to see if I was satisfied with replacement. I recommend this company with a ten star rating. The best.

Awesome!
I bought this for as trip to Colorado for hiking some 14ers. I went this past weekend. We were up at 4:30 each morning to get an early start on the day and these plus did not disappoint! light weight, easy to put together, and very sturdy. I did a lot of rigorous hiking and LOTS of post holing on the snow and these pole saved me more than once. I would definitely recommend.

These hiking poles have helped me walk on uneven and rocky trails. They’re lightweight and fold to fit in a backpack or suitcase. I lost one of the rubber tips in the woods. It was easy to order a replacement and i received it quickly. The poles are a little tricky to put together the first time, but the company has written and video instructions.

I bought 4 pairs of these folding trekking poles since November 2018. My g/f loves hers and has been using them ever since. We both do a lot of mountain hiking in the winter in the Laurentians and she also hikes elsewhere in the summer and fall. I’m recovering from a recent bike injury and decided that at 75 it was time to start carrying poles too for our winter climbs. More recently I got a pair for a friend who is recovering from a sciatic nerve injury and knew they would improve his level of confidence while getting back into shape. And I bought a another pair for a friend who liked them immediately when she saw mine and now has ditched her old non-folding poles.
I pulled my poles out too far when I first tried to adjust them and the cables separated from the handles. I thought they had not been assembled correctly and wrote to High Stream Gear to see what they could do. Karl got back to me immediately to explain that they are designed this way and they just need to be put back into the handle and locked, using the flip lock. He included a short video showing how easy it was to set up. He was also very helpful prior to delivery, staying in touch to be sure the delivery went well. I highly recommend these poles and only have kudos for Karl and his company.

Something came up with one of the poles that needed to be fixed. As soon as I contacted Karl at HSG he acted immediately and got me the piece that I needed replaced.. I have had excellent service in all my dealings with this company and wanted to let you all know, both existing and any future customers. IMHO, HSG is a very responsible company.

I completed a solo summit of Mt. Elbert in CO last week, after 30 years away from the mountains. These trekking poles made the biggest difference in my hike! They saved me many times from slipping on the loose rock and spared my knees on the trek down. The company was also very responsive when the design I wanted was unavailable and quickly found a replacement. I could not be more happy. Light weight yet sturdy. Very easy to assemble and break down for traveling on a plane. Highest recommendation!

High Stream Gear poles are awesome! Fold up smaller and easier than many other brands….come with many push on options for different terrain, are so well built and much less expensive than other brand name poles that don’t even fold up as small!
Elaine (verified owner) –
I have not actually used the poles yet, but I am pleased with them so far. Very happy that they were available in the smaller size range. I had an excellent customer service experience when the colour I chose turned out to be not in stock. They immediately emailed me with options, including what colours were available for me to re-select. I would recommend viewing the set up video as it will fast track you to how they come together with height adjustment and then come apart – it probably saved me a lot of time trying to figure it out, but once you know it, it is easy. Great that they come with several different base options included at this price point. Looking forward to trying them out soon!

The support at High Stream is terrific. I had a problem getting them set up but Mae helped me through it. I’m not always steady on my feet but these poles are great. I’ve only had the chance to use them once, but I did love them

I got my poles after observing a friend with severe spinal issues using them. I still play music at festivals with uneven terrain and thought these would work better than the staff l had been using. They are lightweight, adjustable and help me navigate that kind of surface with a severely arthritic ankle that l thought would finally keep me from doing what I love. Thanks for the poles that help keep me moving forward.
