Great tool for walking & hiking!
I have been healing from a “delayed union” of a 5th metatarsal fracture for the past 10 months. I was unable to bear any weight or walk normally for the first five months and as I’ve regained my strength and ability to walk, I have been in some serious physical therapy. One of my favorite activities has always been walking and hiking and I planned a couple of trips this summer that would allow for some hiking. My physical therapist recommended I try walking sticks, so I did some research and found these. Not only did they help keep me balanced when walking over unstable ground – they truly helped me achieve my goal of being mobile this summer. These sticks were great to stow in my back pack and take on a flight…..no questions asked. They are compact and I was able to take them with me everywhere I went. The cork handles didn’t slip when my hands sweat, and they cleaned up nicely when they got dirty with mud. Highly recommend this product.

High quality, low weight.
Although I am writing a review now, I have owned these poles for several months. I wanted to be sure they were what they were described as and they definitely are! I bought these for the main purpose of using them on an ultra-marathon that had caused me some uphill suffering previously. (I have a pair of Leki trekking poles, which I also love, that are aluminum and although light, they are nowhere near as light as these poles.) I trained for weeks on long runs carrying these poles to be sure they were comfortable and easy to use. My longest run was a 12 mile trail run in very technical terrain (I live in south central PA). The poles were no burden whatsoever to carry or use. They have a solid clamping mechanism, comfortable handles and, again, are super light-weight. I carried them on the last 11 miles of my ultra with no issues at all. I HIGHLY recommend these poles!

Comfort of handles
Used these walking sticks on many extreme hikes in Arches National Park and Canyon Lands National Park. They were perfect. Very sturdy, handles were very comfortable and they folded up very nicely for packing. My only draw back was that the peg feet did not hold up for the entire week of hiking, but we were doing some very extreme hiking so I can not complain. The sticks worked perfectly with out the peg feet. I will probably buy some replacements.

I’m only giving them four stars because…….
I received the wrong color. I did an Amazon exchange and received the wrong color again! But I feel it was an Amazon error, NOT the seller’s, so I decided to keep them because I really wanted to use them! And I love them. I have MS and use trekking poles for balance and distance, and these did not disappoint. They are made very well and the price is excellent. I would buy them again…..in fact, I’m sure I will, in the hopes I get the blue ones I wanted for summer! I’ll use the red ones around the farm and the blue at the beach!
